Ridge Racers 2 Special DJ Megamix premieres on Spotify
Ridge Racer 2 launched for PlayStation Portable in September of 2006. In Japan, Bandai Namco published the racing game as "Ridge Racers 2" to differentiate the handheld console title from Namco's 1994 arcade release.

In 2006, publisher King Record pressed the soundtrack "Ridge Racers 2 Direct Audio" on compact disc. The Ridge Racer album includes fifteen tracks by composers Hiroshi Okubo, Nobuyoshi Sano, Kohta Takahashi, Koji Nakagawa, Junichi Nakatsuru, Asuka Sakai, Megaten and AYA.

Bandai Namco included a Special DJ Megamix by Okubo, pressed on compact disc, as preorder bonus for the album. The arrangements revisit popular music tracks from throughout the franchise.


Bandai Namco Entertainment published a visually enhanced edition of Ridge Racer 2 in December of 2022, available for PS4 and PlayStation 5 consoles. The home console port is currently part of the PlayStation Plus Classics catalog and includes rewind, quick save, and custom video filter functionality.

Both the digital soundtrack and Special DJ Megamix are now available through streaming platforms, published by Bandai Namco Game Music. Both compilations are streaming on Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music Unlimited.
