In addition, character and environment textures are upscaled, and a "2x Game Speed" feature affords the option of speeding up field exploration, battles, and event scenes. An upgrade path is available through Steam, while the PlayStation Store offers a discount for owners of the 4K/HD Edition.
Resonance of Fate depicts a colossal structure called the Basel, housing the last remnants of humanity. A complex system of rails and elevators divides the structure into various social strata, while outside the tower, there lies a toxic wasteland. The story follows three mercenaries taking on jobs for factions holding power, and soon becoming entangled in their political conflicts.
Titled "End of Eternity" in Japan, the steampunk-themed turn-based role-playing game launched in 2010 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles. Battles incorporate the distinctive ‘gunplay symphony’ system, in which real-time movement and positioning during a character’s turn are pivotal to a successful strategy. The 4K/HD Edition arrived on Steam in 2018, verified for use with the Steam Deck.
End of Eternity Original Soundtrack is comprised of classic rock battle themes by Motoi Sakuraba of Valkyrie Profile and sweeping orchestral score composed by Kohei Tanaka of Gravity Rush. The six-volume soundtrack album is streaming on YouTube Music, Spotify, and Amazon Music Unlimited.
