Developed by Striking Distance Studios, [REDACTED] launched this week for Windows and consoles. The fast-paced isometric roguelike places players in a deep space penitentiary overrun with hordes of infected inmates.

Set in The Callisto Protocol's Black Iron Prison, a state-of-the-art penitentiary located on Jupiter’s icy moon Callisto, [REDACTED] is Striking Distance's take on dungeon crawler genre.

Emperia Records has opened preorders for [REDACTED] Original Game Soundtrack by Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart co-composer Mark Mothersbaugh, available on deluxe double vinyl, compact disc, and audio cassette.

The music composer comments, via liner notes:

I loved writing music for this game! It was really nice to get a break from the usual orchestra plus electronic game scores I usually get called for. Games are really interesting to write for because unlike any other scenario (records, videos, movies, etc.) in the game world, players get to hear the music in a fashion that is close to how a composer writes the music, with instruments being added in as game play develops.

The players I got to work with on this project included brilliant bass players who have performed in multiple amazing bands, Jeff Friedl who is currently one of the world’s greatest drummers out there, Albert Fox who if there was a Mutato Muzika band, would be a founding member, and Johnny Majestic who besides being about three feet taller than the rest of us, is a dang good guitarist who was a joy to work with. My engineer Seth kept the ants corralled and did a pretty good job of recording and mixing. I hope you like this record as much as we enjoyed creating it.

Music is composed by Mothersbaugh, Johnny Majestic, and Albert Fox. The 33-track digital soundtrack is published through Bandcamp, produced by Emperia Records with Cody Matthew Johnson serving as executive producer, with Jeff Rona and Mary Kate Jiménez-Wall serving as producers. The digital edition is also streaming on Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music Unlimited.

Verified for use with the Steam Deck, [REDACTED] is available for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 consoles, along with Windows through Steam and the Epic Games Store, published by Krafton.
