Rain World: Downpour introduces five new playable characters with their own unique abilities. The Watcher expansion brings multiple new regions to explore, new creatures, items, mechanics, characters, paths and endings.
Rain World launched in 2017 for Windows PC through Steam and PlayStation 4 consoles, featuring the soundtrack written and produced by James Primate. Collaborators include Lydia Esrig from the chiptune group Bright Primate, responsible for co-writing and producing individual music tracks, and designer Joar Jakobsson in designing samples and immersing listeners in the game's sprawling environment.
Digital soundtracks are hosted on Bandcamp and Steam, with streaming on Spotify. An Anthology reveal trailer can be viewed on publisher Akupara Games' YouTube channel.
