Developer Videocult has scheduled Rain World: The Watcher DLC for release in March, published by Akupara Games.

The previously released "Downpour" expansion for the independently developed survival platformer introduces five new playable slugcats with their own unique abilities and customized campaigns. Black Screen Records pressed the Downpour soundtrack on double vinyl, featuring artwork by Kelocitta. The digital edition of the soundtrack album is hosted on Bandcamp and Steam, with cover art by AnnoyingFlower.

The Watcher DLC will launch on March 28th for Nintendo Switch, PS4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Series X|S consoles, along with Windows through Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store.

From the product page:
You are a nomadic slugcat, both predator and prey in a broken ecosystem. Intense, bone-crushing rains pound the surface and make life almost impossible for most of the year, but the dry season has just arrived. Grab your spear and brave the industrial wastes, hunting enough food to survive another hibernation cycle, but be wary - other, bigger creatures have the same plan... and slugcats look delicious.

Explore undiscovered regions layered with creepy, crawly, never-before-seen creatures that’ll be sure to test the strongest of wills. When the world around you starts to crumble will you succumb to the sinister shadows or stand up stoic awaiting the evercoming, consuming darkness that grips your feet?
