Professor Layton & the New World of Steam arrives on December 10th
LEVEL-5 has scheduled Professor Layton and the New World of Steam for release on December 10th. The mystery-solving puzzle game will launch for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 consoles, along with PlayStation 5 and Windows PC via Steam.

Taking place one year after the events of Nintendo DS game Professor Layton and the Unwound Future, The New World of Steam presents players with puzzles designed by QuizKnock, overseen by Takuji Izawa. Professor Hershel Layton and apprentice Luke Triton voyage to Steam Bison, America, where an industrial revolution in steam-powered innovations has surpassed even London's level of technological development.

The latest mainline series installment features music composed by Tomohito Nishiura, while the main theme is composed by Joe Hisaishi, with lyrics and vocals by Lilas Ikuta.

The game's main theme song will feature a special collaboration between two acclaimed artists. The track, which brings added emotional depth to the story, is currently in production, with music by Joe Hisaishi and lyrics and vocals by Lilas Ikuta. Look forward to a powerful song that weaves together Joe Hisaishi's sweeping melodies and the clear, expressive voice of singer-songwriter Lilas Ikuta, also known as ikura of YOASOBI.

Led by Quiz King of Tokyo University, Takuji Izawa, QuizKnock is a media platform that brings together entertainment and knowledge. Guided by the concept of "Learning Starts with Fun," it shares daily articles and videos designed to spark curiosity and open the door to new discoveries. Its YouTube channel has over 2.34 million subscribers as of September 2024.
