Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf extended gameplay trailer premieres
Swedish developer Wishfully has posted the extended gameplay trailer for Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf. The sidescrolling cinematic platformer will launch in early 2026, published by Thunderful Games.

Game directors Adam Stjärnljus and Klas Martin Eriksson commented via Xbox Wire, "Planet of Lana II explores Novo in the wake of Lana and Mui’s triumph; How has the world changed since the arrival of the robots? And perhaps more importantly; how has overnight access to modern technology changed its people? The answer forces Lana and Mui down a dark path paved with greed, danger and ever more questions about their planet’s mysterious past."

Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf will launch for PS4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Series X|S consoles, along with Windows through Steam. Music for the game is by The Last Guardian composer Takeshi Furukawa.

From the Thunderful product page:
Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf, from Wishfully Studios in Sweden, is an ambitious cinematic puzzle adventure, doubling the scale and narrative depth of its predecessor. Set for release on all platforms in 2026, this highly anticipated sequel plunges Lana and Mui into a Novo forever altered by the robot invasion.

The core of this experience is the enduring strength of their bond, which will be strained across treacherous icy mountains and unearthed ruins. As a deeper narrative unfolds, Lana will be compelled to face her inherent destiny and personal demons.
