Off-roading exploration game Over the Hill arrives on Steam
Developed by Funselektor Labs and Strelka Games, Over the Hill has launched via Steam. The independently developed title is available for Windows PCs and SteamOS + Linux, verified for use with the Steam Deck.

The solo and multiplayer off-roading exploration game invites players to drive vehicles from the golden era of the 1960s through the 1980s across muddy trails, forests, and rugged terrain. Players can capture memories of the natural landscapes with the built-in photo mode, amid dynamic weather conditions, day and night cycles, and realistic terrain deformation.

The off-roading is set to an original score combining acoustic instrumentation with analog synths, composed and produced by Tatreal (Slava Korystov) and Giacomo Giunchedi from their studios in Canada and Italy. The soundtrack album is available for purchase through Steam as part of the Supporter Pack, or as separate downloadable content.

Console ports for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S (with 'Play Anywhere' support), and Nintendo Switch 2 are planned for launch in 2027. Serenity Forge will serve as publisher for the physical editions. The Collector’s Edition will include a digital soundtrack download.

From the Steam product page:
Composed and produced by Tatreal (Slava Korystov) and Giacomo Giunchedi from their studios in Canada and Italy, the soundtrack features 40 original tracks across four albums, each with its own distinct sound: folk, shoegaze, ambient electronica, and spiritual ambient.

From acoustic guitars and dreamy, reverb-drenched textures to electronic soundscapes and moments of quiet contemplation, the music shifts and evolves like the journey itself. Drawing on their experience as multi-instrumentalists and electronic producers, Tatreal and Giunchedi combine acoustic instrumentation with analog synths to create a soundtrack that follows the landscapes, atmosphere, and challenges of over the hill.
