Order of the Sinking Star demo debuts during Steam Next Fest
Developer Thekla, Inc. has released the Steam demo for Order of the Sinking Star during Steam Next Fest. The narrative puzzle adventure game, jam-packed with over a thousand interconnected hand-crafted puzzles, is designed by Jonathan Blow.

The story establishes four distinct worlds—represented by a queen, thief, warrior, and wizard playable characters, each endowed with character-specific abilities. Venturing into each territory, the game initially resembles separate anthologies, introducing players to those realms' unique gameplay mechanics. When the characters' stories finally intersect, the game's various puzzle systems intertwine.

Music is composed by Peter Due. Audio team members Martin Stig Andersen and Hans Christian Koch previously collaborated on Braid Anniversary Edition.

As reported in the latest Steam update: "Since the 2016 release of the critically acclaimed puzzle adventure, The Witness, Jonathan Blow has spent the past 10 years crafting this ambitious world, developing and refining its structure, and crafting a vast array of puzzles that reward curiosity and persistence."

Order of the Sinking Star will launch for Windows PC and Nintendo Switch 2 later this year. The demo announcement trailer can be viewed on the Thekla YouTube channel.
