Braid, Anniversary Edition by developer Thekla, Inc., has launched for Windows and consoles, packed with fifteen hours of seriously in-depth developer commentary.

The enhanced port adds new animations augmenting the hand-repainted graphics by artist David Hellman. Remixed and remastered audio comes courtesy of Martin Stig Andersen and Hans Christian Kock. The 15-track soundtrack album is streaming on Apple Music, YouTube Music, Spotify, and Amazon Music Unlimited.

Laced Records of London has opened preorders for the Anniversary Edition soundtrack, premastered for vinyl by Joe Caithness. The deluxe double vinyl publication also ships from distributor Light in the Attic in Seattle.


The product description notes the "remasters are the result of thoughtful and often painstaking work to bring the recordings up to date for a contemporary game release, taking into account the way certain instruments reflect the visual aesthetics of Braid’s world and the player’s gameplay state."

The puzzle platformer by Thekla, Inc., is available for Nintendo Switch, PS4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Series X|S consoles, along with iOS and Android devices. The Windows edition is verified for use with the Steam Deck. Licensed music from Braid is streaming on YouTube Music, Spotify, and Amazon Music Unlimited, composed by Jami Sieber, Shira Kammen, and Cheryl Ann Fulton.

Thekla and Laced Records invite you to submerge yourself in the musical world of Braid, Anniversary Edition, a remaster and expansion of the iconic puzzle-platformer, first released in 2008.

15 tracks have been specially remastered and pressed to heavyweight vinyl, housed in printed inner sleeves that slip into a widespined outer sleeve. Eight tracks used in the 2008 release of Braid are present, with music by Jami Sieber, Shira Kammen, Pam Swan and Cheryl Ann Fulton. These are accompanied by seven brand new electro-ambient remixes created by Martin Stig Andersen (LIMBO, INSIDE, Control) for the Braid, Anniversary Edition game release.
