Set in a a distant dystopian future, mankind has met its self-inflicted downfall. Within a simulation, A.I. engage in battles to prove themselves worthy successors. Players can shapeshift mid‑combat between playable characters Flux, Ekku, and Vekta on the fly, each possessing a unique move set.
Restarting each cycle gradually unearths the role of the simulation and the full intentions of the mysterious Operator in creating the A.I.
Morbid Metal features music by The Crew: Motorfest co-composer Blue Stahli—an electronic rock project by Bret Autrey. The "Saru" single is streaming on YouTube Music, Spotify, and Amazon Music Unlimited. Designed as the first big milestone of the game, "Saru" exemplifies the game's themes of chaos, intensity, and adapting on the fly.
"The music for Saru is constant heavyweight intensity," writes Blue Stahli, "with shifting rhythms and hype-up riffs like you’re finding your strength in the middle of chaos. Doing music for Morbid Metal is a perfect fit because most of my music already sounds like robots fighting."
