On this date of 2003, Capcom platformer Mega Man X7 launched for the PlayStation 2 home console. In the seventh mainline installment of the series, X and Zero are joined by Axl, squaring off against Maverick bosses: Soldier Stonekong, Tornado Tonion, Splash Warfly, Flame Hyenard, Ride Boarski, Snipe Anteator, Wind Crowrang, and Vanishing Gungaroo.

Mega Man X7 Sound Collection, published by Capcom's label Suleputer, is composed by Yuko Komiyama, Noriyuki Iwadare, Seiko Kobuchi, and Shinya "Midnight" Okada, among other artists. The 45-track album is available through Steam in MP3, FLAC, and AAC file formats, with streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music Unlimited.

Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 + 2 is available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles, along with Windows through Steam.
