The second installment in the 16-bit series launched on December 16th of 1994 in Japan. X faces off against rogue Reploids Wire Sponge, Wheel Gator, Flame Stag, Morph Moth, Overdrive Ostrich, Magna Centipede, Bubble Crab and Crystal Snail. Music for the game is by Street Fighter III co-composer Yuki Iwai.
Mega Man X2 is included in the Mega Man X Legacy Collection compilation for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows through Steam.
