Originally published by Sierra Studios in November of 1998, Valve has released an augmented and revitalized edition of the heralded FPS classic Half Life for Windows, Mac, and Linux, verified for use with the Steam Deck.
To mark the occasion, Valve has uploaded a commemorative short film, directed by Danny O'Dwyer of the video production company Secret Tape. The hour-long documentary features interview segments with key industry figures such as Gabe Newell, as well as the original development team and goes into detail regarding all aspects of the creation of Half Life.
The Anniversary Update includes a myriad of technical updates and new player models, along with four new Deathmatch maps and three maps only previously accessible through the Half-Life: Further Data CD.
