Preorders have opened at distributor Playasia for Ganbare Goemon Ongaku Shuu. Konami's Ganbare Goemon Ongaku Shuu Aka and Ongaku Shuu Shiro will each include eleven compact discs, on sale October 14th in Japan.

Konami's 40th anniversary collection, Ganbare Goemon! Daishūgō, bundles 13 titles from the humorous action-adventure series inspired by Japanese folklore. Celebratory 40-minute loops of 15 selected music tracks are hosted on Konami's YouTube playlist. Music is composed by Kazuhiko Uehara and Harumi Ueko of The Legend of the Mystical Ninja, among other Konami Kukeiha Club members.

In addition to the Ganbare Goemon games, the compilation also contains a secret bonus title. As an homage to the hidden Easter eggs of the Famicom era, Crisis Force is accessed by entering the Konami Code (↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → B A) upon activating the staff roll within the settings menu. Music for the 1991 Famicom shoot-em-up is by June Chuma, Kenichi Matsubara, and Yasuhiko Manno.


Ganbare Goemon Ongaku Shuu Aka includes the music of Ganbare Goemon! Karakuri Douchuu for Famicom and MSX2 (1987), Ganbare Goemon 2 for Famicom (1989), Ganbare Goemon Gaiden: Kieta Ougon Kiseru for Famicom (1990), Ganbare Goemon: Sarawareta Ebisumaru for Game Boy (1991), and Ganbare Goemon Gaiden 2: Tenka no Zaihou for Famicom (1992).

Also included are Ganbare Goemon: Uchuu Kaizoku Akogingu for Sony PlayStation (1996), Ganbare Goemon: Neo Momoyama Bakufu no Odori for N64 (1997), Ganbare Goemon: Kurofune-tou no Nazo for Game Boy (1997), Ganbare Goemon: Tengu-tou no Gyakushuu for Game Boy Color (1999), Ganbare Goemon: Hoshizorashi Dynamites Arawaru!! for Game Boy Color (2000), and Ganbare Goemon: Toukaidou-chuu Oedo Tengu Gaeshi no Maki for Nintendo DS (2005).

Ganbare Goemon Ongaku Shuu Shiro includes the music of Super Famicom titles Ganbare Goemon: Yukihime Kyuushutsu Emaki (1991), Ganbare Goemon 2: Kiteretsu Shōgun McGuiness (1993), Ganbare Goemon 3: Shishijūrokubē no Karakuri Manji Gatame (1994), Ganbare Goemon Kirakira Dōchū: Boku ga Dancer ni Natta Wake (1995), and Soreyuke Ebisumaru Karakuri Meiro: Kieta Goemon no Nazo!! (1996).

Also included are Ganbare Goemon: Derodero Dōchū Obake Tenkomori for N64 (1998), Ganbare Goemon: Kuru Nara Koi! Ayashige Ikka no Kuroi Kage for Sony PlayStation (1998), Goemon: Mononoke Sugoroku for N64 (1999), and Ganbare Goemon: Mononoke Dōchū Tobidase Nabe-Bugyō! for Game Boy Color (1999).
