Developed by 11 bit studios, Frostpunk 2 arrives on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on September 18th. The society survival game will be included with Game Pass upon launch.

Set in the city of New London in the early 20th century, in an alternate telling of history, Earth is beset by a worldwide volcanic winter. The console release date trailer is streaming on the developer's YouTube channel.

Jakub Stokalski, co-director and design director, comments, "We still use that post-apocalyptic, frozen setup, to tell a meaningful story about human ambition, societies striving for their ideas, and the consequences of hard decisions which are not always respected by everyone. Because ultimately, what can end us is not nature itself - it's human nature.”


Milan Records published the Frostpunk 2 vinyl soundtrack album. Composed by Piotr Musiał, the soundtrack ships opaque gold vinyl with black splatter. Musiał and sound designer Krzysztof Lipka discuss their strategies respecting the legacy of the franchise, and how instrument choices complement the genre.
