The digital soundtrack for Final Fantasy III Pixel Remaster for mobile devices and Steam is scheduled now available through digital music store Ototoy. Excerpts of all music tracks composed by Nobuo Uematsu are streaming on the official album website.
Arrangements of music for the album "FF PIXEL REMASTER: FINAL FANTASY III Original Soundtrack" are by Hidenori Miyanaga, Masaya Tsunemoto, Shingo Kataoka, Eri Tsunemoto, Daisuke SHIIBA, Hirosato Noda, Ayumu Murai. The Pixel Remaster installment of Final Fantasy III marks the role-playing game's first 2D English-language release, as previous localizations were limited to the polygonal remake.
Miyanaga serves as sound director at Square Enix's Osaka branch and arranged the Prelude, the Village of the Ancients, and Noah's Lute. Noda has served as a sound designer at Square Enix and arranged the "Let's Play the Piano" jingles. Murai serves as a sound designer at the Square Enix branch in Osaka and arranged the "Treasure," "Join the Party," "Farewell," and "Night at the Inn" jingles
Kataoka previously served as sound director on Resident Evil Revelations and arranged multiple tracks, including "Battle 1," "Fanfare," "Eternal Wind," "Dungeon" and "The Djinn's Curse." Tsunemoto contributed arrangements for multiple tracks, including "The Altar Cave," "The Village of Ur," "To the Mountain Top," and "Flight of the Enterprise." SHIIBA contributed multiple arrangements, including the opening theme, "Castle Hein," "Amur," and the three ending themes.
The "Pixel Remaster" edition is presented in a sprite-based format reminiscent of the Game Boy Advance ports, while also adopting a widescreen display. Features include a fast-forward option, bestiary and music player, as well as onscreen mini-maps of dungeons and towns. Character sprite art for the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series is overseen by pixel artist Kazuko Shibuya.
Vinyl record "Final Fantasy III: Four Souls" ships domestically from the Square Enix store for North America. A piano arrangement of "Eternal Wind" performed by Yui Morishita is streaming on YouTube, courtesy of the publisher.
