Dragon Quest V for Super Famicom celebrates 33rd anniversary of release
Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride for Nintendo's Super Famicom home console launched 33 years ago, on this date. Developed by Chunsoft and directed by Manabu Yamana, the turn-based role-playing features character design by Akira Toriyama and scenario by Yuji Horii.

ArtePiazza and Matrix Software developed the PlayStation 2 remake, launched in March of 2004 in Japan, featuring music performed by the NHK Symphony Orchestra. ArtePiazza also developed the Nintendo DS remake, published by Square Enix in 2008. The mobile port is currently available for iOS and Android devices.

Symphonic Suite Dragon Quest V features orchestral arrangements of music composed by Koichi Sugiyama. The 13-track album is streaming on Apple Music, featuring the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra. The compact disc and Blu-ray editions ship from distributor CDJapan.
