Developed by Id Software, the first-person shooter depicts a demon invasion overtaking the Union Aerospace Corporation’s research facility on Mars. Players take on the role of the Doom Marine in the single-player campaign, or in various multiplayer modes.

Laced Records published the Doom (2016) 5th Anniversary vinyl box set, composed by Mick Gordon. The digital soundtrack is hosted on Steam, with streaming on Spotify and the Bethesda Softworks YouTube channel.

Doom (2016) is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch consoles. The Windows PC edition is hosted on Steam, verified for use with the Steam Deck.

From the Steam product page:
There’s not much of a precedent for music about settlers on Mars discovering a portal to hell, so it must have seemed like quite a unique task for Mick Gordon as he set out to compose original music for Doom.

His intense, sprawling creation is the perfect complement to the soul-crushing first-person shooter, offering gripping heavy metal guitar riffs (“Rip & Tear”), relentlessly pounding drums (“Bfg Division”), and terrifying industrial synths (“Hellwalker”). The world evoked through these tracks is a horrifying projection—one that we should never hope to experience.
