Chrono Trigger Orchestral Arrangement album premieres in Japan
Chrono Trigger Orchestral Arrangement album "Melodies Across Time" has premiered in Japan. The album highlights ten orchestral medleys to be performed live by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, taking place at the Tokyo International Forum Hall on the 17th and 18th of this month.

Featured arrangements include "Secret of the Forest / Wind Scene," "Courage and Pride / Frog's Theme," and "World Revolution / Last Battle." Time travel role-playing game Chrono Trigger launched for Super Nintendo in 1995, featuring music by Yasunori Mitsuda (Xenogears), Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy) and Noriko Matsueda (Bahamut Lagoon).

A crossfade trailer is streaming on the publisher's YouTube channel. The compact disc release ships from the Square Enix store for North America and Europe, and distributor CDJapan. Excerpts of all tracks are streaming on the official album website and digital music store Ototoy.


Square Enix previously posted the release trailer for the Chrono Trigger Piano Soundscape Arrangement album. Arrangements by Shogo Nomura and Sachico Miyano include “Frog's Theme” and “Robo's Theme,” together with “Gato’s Song ~ Battle ~ Fanfare 1” and “Magus’ Castle ~ Confusion Melody ~ Battle with Magus.”

The Windows port of Chrono Trigger launched in February of 2018, through Steam. Post-release patches made updates to the user interface, adjusted character sprites and background graphics, and improved gameplay speed.
