Unreleased in the West, Square's PlayStation roguelike Chocobo's Dungeon boasts an array of charming music compositions by Masashi Hamauzu, many incorporating snippets of Nobuo Uematsu's classic "chocobo" theme.

Enix programmer Koichi Nakamura served as producer, lending his expertise in the genre, having contributed to development on Super Famicom title Torneko's Great Adventure: Mystery Dungeon. Chunsoft's 1993 title starred the roving merchant from Dragon Quest IV, thematically paving the way for the randomized maps of the Chocobo Dungeon series.
