The fourth album by Chip Tanaka, entitled Desatar, is scheduled for release on October 25th. Jacket art is inspired by concepts of "caravans, travel, sand dunes, and oases..."

Single "Fennec (Remix)" premiered today on streaming platforms, revisiting a melody from the album "Domani," now running at 175 beats-per-minute. Lead single "Flow" is also available for streaming on YouTube Music, Spotify, and Amazon Music Unlimited, with mastering by Kimken.

The previous installments in the album series—"Django," "Domingo," and "Domani"—are hosted on the composer's Bandcamp page, while compact disc editions are in stock at CDJapan. Record label Super Fuji Discs published Chip Tanaka compilation "Lost Tapes 17" on vinyl. "More Lost Tapes" ships on two compact discs from distributors CDJapan and Black Screen Records in Europe.

「前作『Domani』の時、アルバムのジャケイメージを複数個作った。その時採用されなかったアート（今回のジャケット）がずーっと頭に残っていて、そのアートイメージから今回の新曲5曲は生まれた。 『Domani』のアートは、より混沌としたイメージだったけれど、今回の『Desatar』は、より具体的なイメージが現れている。自分が気に入ったのは「ラクダ」だ。そこからキャラバン、移動、砂丘、オアシス、と「旅」というイメージが湧いてきた。どこへ向かっているのか本人はわかってないけれど、とにかく「旅は続いていく」。旅の途中一服したり、移動の中で次の目的地を探っていくイメージ。その事が、今の自分の気分とめちゃくちゃシンクロしてるなぁ、と強く感じた。また夜空を見ながら旅を始めた頃を回想する事も多々あるだろなぁと思った事で、ライブの度に変化してる既存曲を混ぜて全体をまとめたらどうだろう、と思いついた。そんな想いで、この4枚目のアルバムが出来上がった。まずは新曲「Flow」を聴いて、アルバムを楽しみに待っていてください」 ~　Chip Tanaka
