Alien: Isolation by Creative Assembly turns ten
Developed by Creative Assembly, Alien: Isolation for PlayStation and Xbox consoles launched ten years ago, on this date. The first-person survival horror game places players in the role of Ellen Ripley's daughter as she explores the space station Sevastopol.

Coinciding with the anniversary of launch, Hollywood Records has published the soundtrack album, in collaboration with 20th Century Studios, composed by The Flight (Joe Henson and Alexis Smith) and Christian Henson. As with the virtual set design of the Sevastopol, the horror film directed by Ridley Scott in 1979 provided inspiration for the soundtrack.

The composers worked with several original cues licensed from Jerry Goldsmith’s film score, expanding and innovating on that foundation. “[Christian] did a lot of the cutscenes," Smith told Den of Geek, "which were more orchestral and cinematic and we did most of the in-game music, but there was a lot of collaboration."

The twenty-track soundtrack album is streaming on YouTube Music, alongside a 10th Anniversary Ambience playlist. Alien: Isolation is also available for Nintendo Switch consoles. The Windows PC edition is on Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store, verified for use with the Steam Deck.

From the Nintendo product page:
When she left Earth, Ellen Ripley promised her daughter she would return home to celebrate her 11th birthday. She never made it.

Fifteen years later, Amanda Ripley learns that the flight recorder from her mother’s ship has been recovered. Amanda enters Sevastopol space station to finally solve the mystery of her mother’s disappearance, only to confront an unknown menace.
